Good nutrition in infancy prevents many evils in the baby.

But if the mother has had a serious oversight at this stage, the baby may have a slow increase of weight and growth retardation. See the following features that distinguish these two oversights:

Slow increase of weight

Blow frequently inefficient, weight gain steady and continuous, but does not reach the average.

The baby sucks and swallows active milk; the reflex is activated milk regularly.
* Urine pale, six or more wet diapers a day.
* Deposition soft and grainy, the frequency is within normal. The baby is alert and active.

Growth retardation in the infant under one month old

* your baby is losing weight even after ten days.
* Loss of weight at 7-14 days is more than 10% from birth weight
* your baby does not return to achieve their birth weight in two to three weeks.
* Little or no growth in length or head circumference, signs of malnutrition and dehydration
* Weight below the percentile 10 month old,
* Refusal to be fed from birth
