Many parents unnecessarily rush solid foods to their babies. However, U.S. doctors agree that during the first year, the main food of the baby should be breast milk or formula. Moreover, recent research suggests that giving your baby solids too early can trigger allergies later in children. Therefore, do not give your baby food before 4 months old.
Around 5 or 6 months old, babies can begin to incorporate more foods into your diet, such as infant rice cereal, applesauce or baby food variety. Clear that we must take care that the food is good ground. Also, watch out to see if a food you are allergic.
Also, there are many foods that are not recommended before your baby is one year, as the egg white, strawberries, raspberries, cucumber, lettuce, peanut, cow’s milk (yogurt but you can if approved by the pediatrician) , honey, fish, chocolate, soda and tomato.
Do not worry, yes, if your baby learn to eat late. This is completely normal. At first even will probably face of disgust and spit out the food, but gradually become accustomed. Once you are happy eating, you can go changing the texture of food to learn to chew (if you have no teeth, no problem, because it can “chew” with the gum).
